Footsteps Eco-lodge (B&B), Gunjur - see web site

A peaceful retreat 45 minutes south of the main tourist area, Footsteps was built in 2002 and consists of 10 individual
round huts with en-suite facilities, a pleasant bar & restaurant area and a 'Bantaba' for a social al-fresco evening meal.
There is a fresh water plunge pool and massage facilities. The beach is about ten minutes drive from the
lodge, a driver will take you there and bring you back, or you can walk. Visit the museum in Tanji and learn about local
tribes and their culture. Whilst there you can watch the weaver work, see the blacksmiths making jewellery and visit the
museum shop where you can purchase locally produced goods. The Abuko Nature Reserve and Lamin Lodge are close (transport
is available) though bird and nature lovers will also find plenty of interesting species within the lodge's own grounds.
Every effort has been made to make the camp as ecologically sound as possible: Electricity is provided
by solar power, the swimming pool is filtered naturally without the need for chlorine and the food is either produced
locally from the lodge's own vegetable garden or bought in from the local villages.
